So, no, say SNES/NES emulation for a SLIM PSP? I am wanting to play mostly PSP games, and retroing it as well.

And crab, I like your avatuar and title. I may be one of the few who actually know what it all means, haha.

Ok, so, I too am thinking of geting a psp, thinking of geting a second hand one for the express idea of playing PSX Games or, more accurately, Xenogears (which I hold a ligit NTSC copy of) and the newly translated Tales of Phantasia remake that got it's release today) and, quite possibly Disgaea PSP and FFT PSP also.

So, in short, if it ain't a pain in the ass, what particluars should I obtain to get this done?
and by this, I meen beyond a 1gig card and the psp itself.
All I'm saying is that if the laptops of the future are not in the
shape of chibi genie girls then I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

I like the older models, a bit more heavier, it just feel better. The new ones have a cheap feel to it.

I'm enjoying the remote play feature with the PS3, I'm playing FFVIII on my PSP at the moment. When I connect over a private network it lags a lot, but when I connect over the internet it runs just fine, it may lag once in a while but it doesn't get annoying at all.

I'm not sure about the SNES/NES emulation. So far, the only legacy games you can emulate are the PSOne & PS2 games on the PSP.

So I'm used to putting in the firmware for the fat psp but I just got a Slim White Psp with 3.71.
I heard you have to do some pandora crap with a battery from a fat psp or whatever ><!
Is there any link with these instructions? is it as easy to put in the custom firmware as it is in the fat psp?

EDIT: I don't suppose theres a way to do this without the damn battery? And if I do use a fat psp battery, will I be able to restore it to be usable in the fat psp again?

Similar question as mortis:

Are there any programs that emulate arcade games like Neo-Geo for example, or Mame that would work on Slimline PSPs?

To confirm it.

Yes, yes, and no.

Yes, and yes to the answer that SNES can work on the PSP. There's a download utility you can get via QJ's site that lets you emulate the SNES games. Which's in the style of the ZSnes or SNES9X (not sure which emulator was mentioned for the PSP) emulator. Though, for the Neo*Geo, no. Because there's been no word as of yet if there's been a Neo Geo emulator.

Hey I've had a PSP since launch, but I'm WAY behind the times. Basically it's been my forgotten system. The only reason why I'm going to get back into it is because there's a handfull of games that I'm now interested in, and I'm going to get the slimline one so I can play the games on TV.

To tell you how far behind I am my old one is still running ver. 1.5. And I haven't used it for anything outside of NES and substandard Genesis and SNES emus. I'm trying to get back up to speed, and I know that this is the thread to ask for help in, but all of the cross-talk and jargon is a bit overwhelming. I'd like to know how to play PS1 games and I'd like to know what the better SNES and Genesis EMUs are. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm pretty sure most of the people who were releasing downgraders have stopped for other projects because of the pandora exploit. I wouldn't wait if I were you. Just mod your battery, it's easier than you think.
