Ahh, nostalgia. I've missed the subforum... but enough of that, good luck in round one, all!

I haven't gotten my prompt yet. Should I be worried?

I don't want to say outright that I'm voting against anyone who says - now - that they're "uncertain of their abilities as a writer," - mostly because I'm not that much of an asshole, but also partly because I can't - but still, knock it off.

Oh, damn. Here we are in the Creator's Cafe again. Any word yet on whether or not the stories will be posted in Community Commons this time?

I was just lucky to get it this time. I'll talk it over with others and see if it is possible.

I'm planning on stickying a thread in Community Commons to keep people updated on things. We'll see how it works out.

From the beginning, I've been nervous about being up against Speculative. Someone who participates in NaNoWriMo, and whose forte is fantasy?

Oh well. I've finished my story, and I'm pretty proud of it. We'll see what happens. May the best author win!

A question for Dekoa - are the prompts the same for the two people in a bracket? Or are they randomly chosen for every person participating?

They are the same for the two people in the bracket. I've Sent out about half the prompts, the rest should go out this week.

Have you already said when the first stories are going up? I saw that Ayos was already finished with his. What was the deadline on the first round, or was that already posted somewhere and I missed it?

His deadline was (if I remember right *rustles through PMs*) around the end of the week. I can't tell you the exact date. However, I can guarantee that I have sent out 9 of the topics to 9 of the brackets. So there is precious time left before you each get a topic.

Yeeah, basically I got the prompt, wrote the story the next day, was told by a friend that it was crap and I thought so as well. So I rewrote it the next day, and the same friend told me it was genius and I thought so as well, so I submitted it. That's how I roll... if I second-guess myself or try to nitpick my own work too much, I end up even worse off than I started. But rest assured it's polished and, I think, a pretty good story. I just can't wait to read speculative's, cause his is probably pretty radtastic.

Hey, Dekoa. Is there any way you could post the deadlines and dates threads will go up? I don't want to miss anything.

And Ayos, I can't wait to read your story!
