WotW Round II: Word War II Announcements

First Voting Comes on Friday Morn!

Well I believe it is that time of year to start up the WAR OF THE WORDS event. For those of you who don't know what it is or are new. You can find the event held around March of last year right HERE. Now I know that many of you don't have the time to do a "Writing Contest" due to work or school. THat's fine, this event is made for those who like to write and make stories. Now the rules are along the lines of last year.

1) You must stick to the Format when writing.
Format:
Font: Times New Roman
Size: 12 Point
Margins: Default Margins
Title size: 18 Point
Single Space
MAX WORDS: 2500 (A little over is fine but no more than 50 over)
Format: .doc

2) Judging will be done by the Community itself.

3) You should stay within the Subject matter.

4) There will be a bracket system for the tournament matchups.

5) Time frame for the writing and voting goes as follows, One and a Half weeks for Writing and a Half a week for Voting.

6) There will be a voting period and the winner shall advance.

7) The community will be able to suggest advice to the writers as well as critique thier work.

8) We shall submit the works by an e-mail system. I will make corresponding threads on the next day. These shall be the seperate discussion threads for the artists and their themes. You also vote for them using the poll feature. ONLY VOTES ON THE POLL COUNT.

9) When it comes to voting, the entries will be ANONYMOUS. That means no popularity contest for alot of people. You will also be able to critique the works and give some suggestions to them.

I've found that people aren't paying attention to the new stories that are coming out. Let me reitterate that I've sent a topic out once per day for the past few weeks. This is so I could stagger how much goes up per voting round. I suggest you check back to the sub-forum each and every day just to see new topics.

I feel that I must make this announcement because not only have I waited long enought for a response, but I think that it is also time to make this announcement due to the fact that it is the end of the week.

Kazyl has given me an official withdrawl from the tournament. I think that with this slot open, it gives a person a second chance. So due to the fact of Kazyl's withdrawl, I would like to re-include Stop Sign into the Competition. He will take Kazyl's place. If you have any arguments or anything you can ask them in the discussion thread. I think that this is a smart move because I've already talked to a few others about this concept and it is well recieved.

Due to the recent Server Down and Bobofrowny time. Me and helloween have decided to redo the entire Voting portion of this round so that gives the people a second chance to vote without all the confusion. However, I will not post anything else about this tonight due to the fact that I want to let my hope and confidence build upon already building feelings.
