What should we do?
Well in response to Chaotic leaving and a few good ideas coming to surface, I have decided to make an indefinite poll, however I hope many people vote very soon.
Which of the following should we do?
Well?

I voted for "loser's poll" not because it was my idea, but because some very deserving people didn't get in to the next round due to being paired with other great writers. Two people in particular come to mind, who, if they had been paired up differently, would have definitely gone ahead to the next round.

A loser's bracket seems the most fair way to do things. It could be launched along with some Round 2 pairings so there wouldn't be a time issue, or we could simply put two Round 1 stories against each other in the bracket.

How long is this poll going to run? And Dekoa, when you say loser's "bracket," surely you don't mean that the "losers" (I hate that term) would all write stories again, right? Hopefully there would just be a simple poll where you'd ask which one of the losers do we want to vote back into the competition.

Obviously voting for my own idea
(Why do you misspell my name so, Dekoa )If you want to be fair about it though, a loser's bracket means a head-to-head battle again, Alice. It's hardly fair to pit different prompts against each other, or to arbitrarily vote one non-advancer over another, based on performance in their prompt. No, what I'm saying is that I DON'T want a loser's bracket. I just meant that my initial idea was to list everyone who didn't advance this round in a poll, and anyone who wants can vote for whoever they think should have advanced but didn't. It wouldn't be a "which story was better" vote. It would be a "which writer should have advanced but didn't" vote, if that makes any sense.
