Please read before posting!

This forum exists so new members can introduce themselves to the community.

If you come in here with the intention of trolling them I will block your access to Welcome, Welcome! permanently.

Honestly, I don't give a rat's ass if you think they have a stupid name or if they have weird interests. They are new members just like you were at one point. Give them a chance to adjust to our posting style here before you scare them off.

All I ask is that you be friendly and polite.

Cheers.
That was weird.

Well, that's exactly what some kind of fucked-up furry would say, it's so typical of—

Seriously, thanks for this.

Ciao.
And then they totally do it.

Our friendly and not-at-all terrifying barrage of pointers as to how to act in our clearly regimented and no-nonsense society! Where will we give them now?

Ciao.
I'm not that hungry. I just ate. I could take or leave it. Got a handful
of hard seeds? I'll take them. Pour them on the ground or just hold them
out. You kidding? That would be great. Sure would. Whatever you got,
really. It don't even have to be seeds. I'll take anything. Don't worry
about me. I'm easy. Hey, anything you got. I'll try it. I got a open mind.

You gonna eat that shoe? I'll eat that shoe if you're not gonna eat it.
Say, I'd like to eat a little something. You got something? What you
got? Any kind of food is good. I just want something to eat. You must
got something. I ain't desperate or nothing like that. Don't think I'm
begging. I'm just asking here. No pressure. I just want to eat
something. Wondering if you had something maybe. No big deal.

You gotta have something. Please. What is that? A thing to eat?

There's nothing wrong with giving tips or pointers, just try to do it in a helpful, friendly way rather than being abusive.

Finally, would you slap me if I kissed you?
You gotta hand it to The Calamity... It did the job quick...

Seriously. This is something that's been a problem lately. Member has a Pokemon avatar and 6 people call him a "useless furry". Fighting ensues. Member is called out for acting like a douche. Member leaves.

Guys, we're not saying that EVERYONE is going to be a great member but we gotta give these kids a chance to prove themselves to either be good members or useless halfwits. I have no problem with people calling bullshit when they see it but this paranoia that we're somehow letting THE FLOOD into our house with every new member is getting out of hand.

Ciao.

Umm . . . he came into the brawl thread, called everyone a tourneyfag and bragged about first day ownership of both his Wii and Brawl.

That was my problem with him, cuz, y'know, fur and all.

Cheers.

How on Earth can we continue our tradition of capitulating newcomers if we let them build a false wall of security?

Isn't there more joy in crushing that wall rather than scaring them off before they can build it?

i mean really thats like kicking mounds of dirt at the beach before the kid can even build a castle out of it

Well depends on our focus.

Whereas your aims are merely focused on a desire to see assumedly grown men cry as if their favorite toy has been lost, I would think a more appropriate aim is to assimilate a horde of unwavering loyalist minions to ravage the reaches of space and time.

Ciao.
