Well, the whole thing is, the terrorists are totally undercover and presumably respectable citizens. The theory behind the lynchings would be CTU putting out an APB on a suspect, and everyone fingerpoints at who that is.

Then, when they try to apprehend them, either they resist arrest if they are evil, or some freak accident befalls them if they are good. It's really not that hard to script.

P.S. I'm in, in case you didn't know, I absolutely love this theme, and I can't believe so many people haven't watched 24. WHAT ARE YOU LIVING UNDER A ROCK OR SOMETHING GO WATCH IT!!!

To those who don't like it (aka Crash ;p ), well, you gave it a try at least, right? :P

Yeah, I think there shouldn't be too many specific characters, just the vigilantes, even if there's more than 1 or 2. I think we have plenty of CTU names to go around.
Hatred on the fact that I lost my old sig, maybe I'll get it back someday. Or not!

Count me in, too.

I don't have any real interest in 24, but I loved last game.

Due to time problems, you'll have to suffer from a lack of Luxo in your game.

Tragic, I know, but it's better than waiting a week to check where the hell I am.

Yeah I'll play, normally I only participate in these at Planet Gamecube but I'll see what kind of strategy GFF can put up. PGC is bizarro.

We've got a big crowd this time around, which should make for an interesting game. Right now, I'm thinking about starting the game Monday morning. I could send out the PMs and post the thread before I leave for work, and I've found that I can read and respond to PMs through the work webfilter. I called the hotel where I'll be staying, and although it doesn't look like I'll be able to use my laptop in the room, they have a 24 hour business center with computers where I can get to GFF.

Thanks to some brainstorming, I've got a rough idea of the overall storyline, and the motivations behind the terrorists and mafia. It won't be War and Peace, but the storyline will be off the wall enough to be fun.

We can wait until Wednesday for you then, wvlfpvp. No big rush, I just figured we'd get started if everyone is ready. I don't want to eliminate you from the game just because we started two days early.
There's two of them and two of us, that works in our favour.

Is there a thread or resource somewhere that explains the basics of this game? It sounds interesting but I am totally lost as to how it works.

Excellent, the more the merrier. I've gotten the write-up for the opening post done, so I'm ready to go. Internet doesn't seem to be a problem, since I'm sitting in the hotel business center now, and no one else is here. I'll plan to get everything started Wednesday night. Anyone else who wants to join between now and then is welcome.

Oblivion and 24 are just slightly different in genre though. At least I don't recall Jack Bauer ever delving into an alternate, hellish dimension filled with demons bent on his very destruction. Not to say that he couldn't handle it if that situation ever arose, but it hasn't yet.
