Ok, so here's how it stands. There is approximatly 7 hours until the deadline. There is one person left to vote, and i have recieved all daytime actions. I am now emploring Lukage not to be a dick and wait till the very end of the deadline, but there's nothing i can do to stop him, cause that would be changing the rules. My situation is that i have an essay to write tonight, and i work at 5:00 AM tomorrow morning. I may have to put off putting up the story until tomorrow around 4:00 PM. As much as i'll hate myself for doing it, there's a chance it may have to happen.
I will be in more or less the same situation come thursday, around the next deadline. I'll be done school for the week by then, so homework won't be an issue, but i will have to work again at 5:00 AM, and i'd rather not having to wait up until the very end of the deadline to get all the actions, and be able to finally put up the story. So, i'm considering shaving two hours off of the next deadline, so i can function as a member of the real world. I'm undecided as to whether or not i will follow through on this warning or not, but i figure it's far to give one just the same. ![]() |

If Zergrinch's tally is right, then the votes are 8 for Lukage and 5 for Miravana, with Lukage left to vote. One of two scenarios can occur:
1) Both Court Officials have silenced votes for Lukage, in which case Lukage has no choice but to vote for Miravana for a shot at staying alive, which would tie the vote, and we'd all have to cast our votes again. 2) The vote of 8 to 5 stands, and Lukage's dead, in which case his vote is irrelevant, and we don't need to know it. In either scenario, Lukage really has no choice to vote for Miravana, unless he wants to give us some sort of clue before he dies. It seems we could move on without him. |

You forgot the Seal, nutty. However, I don't really think it matters. Even with that he's still only got a chance if he votes for Miravana. So, I think we should just proceed without him and just assume that's who he votes for. Although, that probably shows disregard for the rules set in place.

I told you guys Lukage is doomed!
C'mon, it's a fair bet that at least a Miravana vote will be silenced. Even with the benefit of Lukage's and the Lost Seal's votes, he's gonna be lynched today. You're right, I did forget about the Seal, as well as the possibility that at least one Mysterious Stranger could be a Court Official ('sup). Still, no matter what, Lukage would have to vote for Miravana unless he's suicidal, so we can move on.

The crowd was jeering, and catcalling at Lukage as he was led to the Gallows near the where the comfy, and dodgy parts of town met. “He’s a cultist” some of them screamed. “He’s a dirty rotten Assassin.” Others called. “We must think of the children!” parents shouted. “If we want our city to be safe, then we must lynch Lukage!”
There were however, those who resisted. “Let him go!” some screamed. “We mustn’t waste our time on such small time thieves. Sure he is a menace, but he is not the real danger in this town.” “Democracy is what’s tearing us apart!” screamed a man from the back of the crowd. The mob turned and stared at this strange interruption. The old drunk from the Black market who threatened YeOldeButchere the previous night in the Black Market, stood, barely keeping his balance, with a bottle of whisky in his hand. “We should do away with public opinion. It is the king’s fair and just rule who has made me *hic*, what I am *urp*, TODAY!” At this he passed out cold on the ground. YeOldeButchere stood behind him with a heavy brass candle stick in his hand. “Good God.” Shouted a man from the crowd, “’E’s beaned ‘im over thee ‘ead ‘e ‘as” “No, actually, I was going to, but he passed out before I could.” Said YeOldButchere. So, now that he’s out of the way, can I vote now? “Sorry, it’s a little late.” Said Crash Landon walked dutifully up to the Gallows, that had now effectively become a stage, and stood next to Lukage. “This man’s actions clearly condemn him, and I think—“ “What actions?” “Last week I saw him feeding ale to Dullenplain’s cows. Now, I think that such a man of evil should be killed right away, and hung until dead. And after it is proved that he is evil, you can all thank me for having steered you in the right direction.” A quiet whimpering like that of a small puppy could be heard amidst the silence of Crash Landon’s pause. “*sigh* and thank nazpyro too.” The crowd separated to form a circle around nazpyro, who was looking particularly pleased with himself, not seeming to care that every set of eyes was now on him. “Now, without further ado…” said Crash Landon as he pulled the drop lever on the gallows, only to find that nothing happened. “Hmm, seems to be stuck said Crash Landon. “Good, said Lukage. “This’ll give me time to plead my case—URK!!” was all he managed to say before the platform released, and Lukage fell to his death. The crowd went silent, listening to proof of Lukage’s evil. Nothing happened. “Oh bother.” Said Crash Landon quietly, ultimately to himself, as the angered masses were now jeering and calling at Crash Landon. “Murderer!” “You traitor!” You’ve killed an innocent man!” “I say we lynch him next!” This statement met with riotous applause. Crash Landon, drenched in sweat, began to back away from the advancing crowd, and began to plead with those closest to him. Just when all seemed lost for Crash, someone screamed “LOOK!”. Everybody stopped, and looked at Lukage’s lifeless body. It had begun twitching and shaking violently. Thick black liquid began spurting from his mouth, as his feet burst into flame. The violent fire climbed higher and higher on Lukage’s lifeless, yet violently active body. Soon, his whole body was engulfed in flames, only to rupture in a massive explosion of fire, blood, and rocks. The Ghost of Lukage was suspended in the air just where his body had been. It rose slowly up to the sky, while holding up a single solitary middle finger to everyone who had partaken in his most bizarre death. Action:

Because of my stupid job, i'm shaving two hours off the next 48 hour deadline. You now have 46 hours to hand in all your night activities. I want them on my desk by 10:00 PM Central Standard Time (reference, it is now 12:06). Upon knkwzrds death, an old bum looking for spare change, happened upon knkwzrd's body. After some searching, the old derilect uncovered a Knight's Crest. He later sold it in the black market for a healthy sum. Also, going through Lukage's Occult artifact, that had now become dormant upon his death, the only artifact of worth was a Wooden Sheild that didn't seem of much use. It was discared, but picked up by a Black Market store owner. If you visit the Black Market, you might just find yourself walking home with one of these. Speaking of the Black Market, it is now open to four count 'em four patrons. First come first serve. Expecting actions from Knights, Guard Capt, Duke, Watchman, Mages, The Witch, The Boss, the Assassins, and the Cultists. Now, good night, and good luck. ![]()

Interesting. Looks like Crash's theory of Lukage being evil 95% of the time wasn't too far off the mark

I guess role selection probabilities were not kind to him.
And my cattle! I was wondering why they were tipping themselves over. |

It must suck pretty bad, being a bad guy in almost every game. No wonder people wants Lukage dead...

Wow, who would have guessed that Lukage was evil? (Apparently, Crash and nazpyro.) I wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but he didn't really offer up much of a defense. Good job everyone!

[zombie]That's why I didn't bother to vote, although since I was doomed, I could have voted just as confirmation of a wolf, oh well.[/zombie]

Yeah, i'm sorry about that Lukage. I groaned when i saw your name come up under Cultist. Everything was totally random, so it's not like i wanted to condemn to you another game of being evil.

Neus was trying to get home as quick as possible. The fog had rolled in again, and it was getting cold. He pulled his cloak tighter around himself, and raised the collar to cover his face.
“Damn, it’s bloody cold.” He said to himself as he picked up his pace. Suddenly, there was a loud crash from behind him, and he whirled around to find a man with a steel knight’s helmet on, but otherwise, in cloak and dagger type clothes. “What the bloody hell?” said neus to the strange character. “Back you evil cultist!” screamed the stranger. “I’ll rip you limb from limb I will!” “Hold your self.” Neus demanded. “What’s wrong with you man? I’m just a harmless villager. “Quit lying you scoundrel, say one more word and I’ll take your—oh I’m terribly sorry, I thought you were someone else.” The stranger turned and quickly scampered off. “What the bloody hell.” Neus muttered to himself as he turned and regained his pace down the street. Action:
YeOldeButchere was out late at the court house. He had been up for the past two hours, filling out the necessary documents stating that Lukage was dead, and the reason for his untimely death. He had been putting it off all day, until he finally knew he had to, or else he wouldn’t get to go home that night. Having just exited the front door, he turned and locked it. The streets were deserted, and that nasty fog had rung up again. This made two nights in a row, and YeOldeButchere was sick of it already. He twirled the large key ring on his index finger, making a cheery jingling sound as he walked. He whistled a tune he had heard a traveling acting troop perform as an overture to their piece. He heard footsteps that didn’t match with his own. He stopped whistling, and jingling his keys. He slowed his pace, only for a minute. Before he had a chance to even turn around he had been grabbed by two strong men from behind. A hand on each shoulder dragged him down the road, and left into an alley way. He was thrown to the ground before a pair of very ratty looking bare feet. The feet belonged to a standing figure, who was hunched over, and glaring at him. Behind this hag of a woman was another man, flanking her to the left. “Man of the court, tonight you will die for your loyalty to the king.” “What? Why? What’s going on here?” Then, it dawned on him. “You’re that ruddy witch that’s been threatening the king all these years!” Butchere practically screamed. I’ll take you limb from limb I wi—“ at this, the witch reached up in the air and clenched her fist. At that moment, YeOldeButchere’s lips were seal shut, and he couldn’t move them, as though someone were holding them shut. “Make quick work of him.” She said simply as she turned around and disappeared behind a pile of trash. Action::
The Witch reappeared at the door of her cabin. Slightly out of breath from effort involved in transporting herself about two miles. The scene was being watched by a lone knight, standing atop a small hill. His keen eyes pierced the little valley below, where the witch was standing and walking slowly to her cabin door. The knight pulled out a small phial of holy water that he had borrowed from the church in the capital. He drew one of the arrows stuck in the ground in front of him up, and dipped the tip of it into the holy liquid. He raised his bow, and loaded the arrow. Pulling the string back, he took aim right for the witch. Hoping that his shot would ring true, he let fly the arrow. The blessed arrow flew through the air, and pieced the Witch where the shoulder and the neck meet. The Knight nodded his head in approval of what he had just done. He crossed himself, and turned and began his walk back to the castle. Action::
As the Knight walked back to the city, the fog began to lift. He felt a little proud of himself for being able to have lifted fog, as it was clearly caused by the witch when she was out and killing. The Knight stopped abruptly as there was suddenly a figure in front of him. There was a man, dressed in a heavy traveling cloak, standing in the middle of the cobble stone road. “Is that the witches body burning up just over the hill?” “Indeed it is friend.” Said the knight, feeling more proud of himself. “Good.” said the man as he drew out a loaded crossbow and fired at the Knight, piercing his face mask. “Then our job’s half done.” He turned and walked away, leaving the knight to die just outside the city he was trying to protect.
