WEREWOLF X: Knights of the Round Table - Good Claims Victory

So it begins.

Quote:
For many years, the conflict between the Kingdom of Duvlan Lar and The Land of Gorrigan has been rising steadily. Finally, it came to war, and King bobo, fearing an invasion knew he would have no choice but strike first. Within days he had rallied his forces, and led them himself into Gorrigan. No one knew what would come next for the kingdom of Duvlan Lar.

Dark forces were moving in the Streets of the capital. The Head of the Assassin’s guild sat by the window of the Assassins’ tower. The royal army was gone, and so was the king. All he had to do was eliminate the royal family, and those loyal to the king, and he could take the castle by force. It was too easy. He walked to the staircase, leading to the roof of the Assassins’ tower. He pulled the string on the flagpole, until a red flag began to wave back and forth in the wind. He threw all of his assignments into the fire. He would need all of his men for this job.

Just south of the capital, an old hag sat just outside her hovel, smoking her long pipe. She watched the soldiers streaming out of the gates on the horizon. She drew long drags from her pipe, and let the smoke waft all around her. She got up slowly, and stepped just inside her little cabin. She opened a drawer, in a small dresser near her bed. From underneath her unused garments, she pulled a small wooden box. She opened the box, and there lay a heart, still beating in a solid rhythm. She picked up the heart, and squeezed it firmly in her left hand. After five seconds of this, she dropped the heart, and buried it beneath her clothes once more. She returned to her seat outside, and lit her pipe once more, from a flame on the tip of her finger. Within minutes, loud rustling came from the dense forest behind her. Her cult had united.
“We have work to do.” She said.

The king however, was prepared for this. He left a handful of his guards behind to protect the remaining loyalists, as well as some of his best knights to protect the royal family personally.

The good king also informed the trustworthy court members of what could come to be. Two of the Dukes and they’re court officials have sworn to help those loyal to the monarchy in any way they can.

Truly trying times for the kingdom of Duvlan Lar. It’s future will not be easily salvaged. Only time will tell how this all plays out.

The Black Market
The black market will be run differently then in games of old. In this game, everything will be determined by the roll of dice. First, two dice will be rolled, and those two numbers will determine the range. The third dice rolled is the decider. If the decider is below the range set by the two first dice, then nothing will happen. If the decider is within the range, something good will happen, if the decider is above the range, something bad will happen (but in order to lessen the chance of bad stuff happening, nothing will happen if the decider is above the range, but shows a 2).

Example:
2 4 1 = Nothing happens
1 4 3 = Something good happens
2 3 4= Something bad happens
1 1 2 = Nothing happens

red=decider

Roles

Masons = Royal Offspring: The princes and princesses of the royal family are the only ones left to carry on the monarcy as it exists today. Together they must try to stay alive against two unknown foes.

Vigilantes = Knight: The brave warriors assigned to protect the vital resource that is the Royal family. (Wondering about the validity of having the Knights be able to contact the Royal Offspring, and have them work as a big team)

Seer = Court Mage: These men of Arcane studies loyal to the king use their powers to search the souls of those who appear to be loyal to the king.

Hunter = Retired Knight: He's not a fighter anymore, but maybe, just maybe he's got it left in him to take down one last foe if he's got enough reason

Shaman = Captain of the Guard: Men who have been assigned by the royal family to guard those who appear to be loyal to the king. By night, they order their men to watch over those who are in danger.

Magistrate = Duke: A kind old man, and friend of the king. His political stance allows him to protect one person per day from the masses.

Silencer = Court Official: Men hoping to become Duke one day, have the political standings to silence one vote per day in the lynchings. Their actions are sent in during the day during the voting period. The action must be received before the final lynching results are posted.

Lucky Stiff = Lucky Stiff: Yeah, same as always.

Pickpocket = Thief: This character is an NPCEach night they will try to pick the pockets of one unlucky soul who stayed out just a little to late. (Steals items via Chocodecide)

Wolf = Cultist: The followers of the terrible Nameless Witch obediently follow her will. They scower the country side searching for those who she's marked to die.

Devil = Witch: The evil Namless Witch has sworn to kill the King, and claim the throne as her own. With the King out of the country, along with most of his army, her only task now is to eliminate those still loyal to him, and claim the throne in his absence. She must peer into the souls of those who live, and direct her minions to kill those with loyal intentions.

Mafia = Assassin: The Assassin's guild has been called to assembly. The Boss has just learned that the King, and the majority of his army are away at war.

Spy = Boss: The Boss' life long dream of becoming king will finally come true, when he eliminates the royal family, and those still loyal to the king. His long research hours will help him learn the true intentions, and identities of those still present in the capital. He can dig up information on any person still living, and order his men to eliminate them with the snap of his fingers.

Investigator = Watchman: Every night will chose a murder to investigate (Assassin, Cultist, or Knight (if they so chose)) and will be given a list of three "suspects". Two of them will be innocent, but one will be guilty. The Watchman will have to observe the voting to make connections and keep track of the names he's been given.

Items

Excalibur: King Arthur's legendary sword has been found. King Arthur has long since passed away, many kings have come and gone, and yet this mystical sword has survived. Excalibur provides it's holder with Hunter style defense from night time attacks.

Knight's Crest: Will appear to Mages and Witches/Boss as a Retired Knight, but is in actual fact, not one.

Wood Shield: Will provide protection from night time attempts on their life for one knight, then the sheild breaks. (more can be bought at the black market, any number of Sheilds could be present in the game) (The sheild does not result in the death of an attacker)

Crystal Ball: The old Fortune teller is dead, but her Crystal Ball was never properly found. With this item, the holder will be able to communicate with the dead, and learn hints as to the alignments of other players. Each night, there will be a PM sent to the holder of the crystal ball

Lucky Rabbit's Foot: Superstition is rampant in these times of turmoil. If you place your faith in these charms, eventually you may find one that saves your life. The wearer of the Lucky Rabbit's Foot will have the abilities of the Lucky Stiff. Once the power has been used, the item becomes lost, and can be found again at the black market. If a Lucky Stiff comes upon this item, then they will have to be killed three times to finally get rid of them.

The Mind's Mirror of Truth: The Mind's Mirror of Truth has the power to read your thoughts, and portray an image of truth related to one's thoughts. The holder fo the MMoT can learn the identity of one player. This action must be taken at night, as though they were a seer. Once the ability is used, the item will become lost by a seemingly random act of fate, and can be located again at the Black Market.

Merlin's Cloak: This is no ordinary cloak. Merlin once owned this cloak, and enchanted it with a sepll, so that the mind of whoever wore it would become closed to anyone who wished to intrude on their thoughts. This cloak will give fool responses to Seers, Witches, and Bosses.

Lost Seal: This seal was lost by a court official. When used by any villiager it can create the illusion of a document of officiality. On lynching days, the holder of this seal can create seemingly legit second votes. The player with the Lost Seal can cast a second vote. This vote is a secret and must be PMed to the mod. The two votes do not have to be for the same person. If the secret vote is not received by the mod, it will be forfeit for that day.

Helloween, I edited your post to correct some brackets and obvious typos. Just to make it look super spiffy.

And I just bought this adorable bunny for Shin's daughter's birthday. Hopefully I still have the receipt somewhere ...

Ooooh, yeah -- the game. Go Everybody!

I like the charts, even if I don't necessarily trust them. They look cool. Some kind of legend would be awesome, too. Thread needs more graphics.
