Pfft. Fine.

I'm not even an important player. I'm just a lousy Diplomat. Go ahead and kill me, waste a lynching. I told everyone who the threat was and was promptly ignored by those who are also threatened by the person I revealed. I'm not wrong, and when this game is done, everyone will see that lynching me was (is) a poor idea in this situation.

Way to get suckered in by the propaganda, folks. Of course those with the most to lose would rally hardest to eliminate me after outing one of theirs. And who has the most to lose? Think about it.
Shocking!

Night 4 - 0000 Hours:
"Quick and clean boys, just how I like it.

So Charlie Team finally lost a member. This puts them on equal level with Alpha Team in terms of numbers, but Alpha still has a considerable advantage by having their specialty still intact. Charlie still has theirs intact as well, but with the playing field basically being one-on-one it can only help them so much.

So this game is definitely coming to a close. Each team's actions tonight will turn the tide in favor for one side, and tomorrow will most likely be when the final blow is struck. That means everything you do is important, from gathering all your current info together, to getting new info, to using your specialty to your advantage.

Be careful out there, boys. Good luck."

Mission Brief:

Yep. Everyone not on Alpha had a chance to whack a Soldier, and it's pretty obvious which team that Soldier is on. But you got paranoid and wasted a lynching.

Oh well, I expected to be gone far sooner, and I did my job. No complaints. This is actually the first time I've been lynched by day. I'd wondered how long it would take.

Incidentally, once this game is finished, I will be moving the Werewolf subforum to Laughs & Games. For some time, I've felt that it would be a better place to run these games but never got around to pushing the issue. We have that whole forum and it's barely used. Time to fix that.

However, for the sake of involving the community and getting exposure, signups may continue to take place in Community Commons.

Day 4 - 0600 Hours:
"Okay boys, this one is for all the marbles. The final stages of this game are in motion, so we will see a winner soon.

Alpha Team has finally lost one of their Soldiers, but they've still managed to gain the numbers advantage before doing so. This means that the absolute only way Charlie Team can win the vote today is by getting every other remaining player on their side. In other words, while they still stand no chance of winning, Bravo and Delta Teams can control who wins this game.

So I guess Alpha and Charlie need to get their sweet talk on. Good luck."

Mission Brief:
Night Four Casualty Report:
One of Alpha Team's Soldiers killed Zergrinch, Charlie Team's Counterintelligence Officer.
Alpha Team's other Soldier killed Dullenplain, one of Charlie Team's Intelligence Officers.
Charlie Team killed Bigblah, one of Alpha Team's Soldiers.

Same conundrum as yesterday. Do you let Alpha team win, who began with the almost criminal advantage of two Soldiers? They got so cocky, that on Night 2, neither Soldier sent in a kill; on top of that, their Intelligence Officer didn't bother to check anyone that night either.

Charlie, on the other hand, has worked for their victory. They have campaigned during the day (exposing themselves) for the deaths of 3 different Soldiers (Guru, Tritoch, and Domino), successfully killing 2 of those Soldiers.

Why should we let Alpha and their two Soldiers waltz into a victory? I'm voting for Domino, the remaining Alpha Soldier.

If I vote for Domino, then it'll make the night very boring. Alpha and Charlie will be tied for members, but no one will be able to do anything. We'll all have to sit around and wait for the next day for something to happen. I'd rather keep the night interesting. So I'm gonna throw down a vote for Acro-nym. Simply hoping that he's on the Alpha team, wanna see that team knocked down a little from their pedestal.
Tired. But so good. Ding!

Curses, killed before the game concludes. My consolation is, my role is basically unneeded anymore since everyone's gotta know who's in what team by now. Last night's check was funny - as the Alpha seer checked me. I wonder how long it took RockgamerXIII to come up with that ripartee

Aftermath:
"After the events of today, the higher-ups have decided to call the game in favor of Charlie Team.

With Alpha Team losing their night kill, and being outnumbered when it comes to daytime, they have no chance of making a comeback now. And with the other teams in the same position, it's been decided to call it now rather than slowly drag out your deaths.

So congratulations to Charlie Team. Not to soil their victory, but it would be interesting to see how things would have played out without all the inactivity. But that's anoher game for another day. For now, I'm treating all you Charlie boys (and lurker) to a round. The rest of you are welcome to join us, but you have to buy your own goddamn drinks.

So for the last time, let's move out."

Mission Brief:

And with that, another game of Werewolf comes to an end. I hope everyone enjoyed it, as I had fun running it. I know this format wasn't perfect, but I think it did work like how I thought it would for the most part.

One thing I would definitely change, as recommended by Guru, is the setup. This game would have worked better with more of a Team/Team vs. Team/Team structure rather than the Team vs. Team. vs. Team vs. Team structure. Here, I'll let Guru explain it better:

I think that's where this game could have been better. For instance, with the daytime voting, nobody is having any qualms for voting against me, because they automatically know that since I'm not on their team, it's OK for me to die. If the game were, perhaps, Axis vs. Allies, with North America and Great Britain (allies) versus Germany and Italy (axis), it would add that layer of second guessing and hesitation to the voting process, and make it a little more interesting for everyone.
So yeah, that would definitely be something to consider the next time a game of this type is run.

Anyway, I'll try to have a list of actions and all that jazz up in the next few days, but for now, I'll just post a list of roles and team affiliations for everyone. Other than that, great game everyone, and I can't wait to join in the next one (whoever ends up running it).

Teams and Roles:
Alpha Team:

Intelligence Officer - Chaotic
Counterintelligence Officer - knkwzrd
Soldier 1 - Bigblah
Soldier 2 - Domino
Guard - The_Melomane
Diplomat - Smelnick

Counterintelligence Officer - Identity Crisis
Soldier - Guru
Guard 1 - Garr
Guard 2 - Shin
Diplomat - Diss

Charlie Team:

Counterintelligence Officer - Zergrinch

Diplomat - Crash Landon

Delta Team:

Intelligence Officer - juanzen
