GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

Alright, here's the list of actions:

As you can see, this game was riddled with inactivity (not a single day or night went by without some form of it), so obviously that had a major impact on the game. Not gonna point out the specifics, but you can see by looking at the actions how different things could have turned out. And Diss, I seriously did consider letting the game run longer, but that would have meant the game would have had to run for at least another four days (and even longer for predicaments like yours), which seemed kinda ridiculous for the small number players remaining. That's why I went ahead and called it for the team that would most likely have won. |

God melomane, did you just forget to ever look at this thread =P. I forgot to vote diplomatically one day? oops. also, whoa guys, what was with that one night of inactivity. =P. Oh well. See you all next game.

![]() Losing Shin due to inactivity was a bit of a drag as well. Just a bit. Backloggery -=- Doctor, doctor! -=- ...in the world!

Inactivity was a huge problem last game too. GFF just isn't the hub of activity it used to be, unfortunately.
Charlie could have had a more decisive victory if I had sent in a kill the first night, but Rockgamer's deadline confused me. Midnight to me meant the next day, but apparently I was the only one who thought that way. |

Voting out Domino ended the game? Darn. Probably shouldn't have done that, then.
Ah well. It was fun. I was the only member of my team to survive, so that's something I guess. If I had been a little more active, though, I would've covered Plarom. The one night I'm not looking and he ends up dead. ![]() I think a lot of the problem with inactivity though was the time. It was the holiday season (and may sort of still be for that matter). Hopefully, the next one will run smoother in that regard. |
Damn you, Bigblah.I was pumped for this game too, and I was out in Night One. ;_; This was an interesting game, and I hope there will be more like it. There's several things to try out with the elements of this game. Just some ideas: all teams get the same roles (i.e. no special roles for a team), smaller teams, players pick roles maybe, some new roles, etc. A new role I was thinking of was something along the lines of a hunter who can somehow capture the attacker of his teammate and then "INTERROGATE" him for information, either his affiliation or another name on his team or something. Do it again, Rockgamer! |

Haha, thanks naz, and to everyone else who said they enjoyed the game.
I definitely wouldn't mind running another game similar to this one (with some changes/improvements, of course) sometime in the future, so I guess everyone can keep an eye for that (though it definitely won't be over the holidays again). But on that note, is anybody interested in running the next game? During the whole course of this game, and even since it's been over, no one has expressed any interest in doing so, which seems kinda weird (there's usually a line of people waiting to mod a game). I know school is starting back up again soon, which is probably what's discouraging a lot of people from doing it (I know Tritoch will use that excuse ), but there must be someone out there who won't be too busy and wants to run one.I personally already have a couple of other new ideas I'm working on, but they're not fully developed, and I wouldn't want to run back-to-back games anyway (mainly because I haven't actually participated in a Werewolf game in well over two months now, so I'm itching to get back in). But there's definitely no need to bring anything new to the table, as I think most people wouldn't mind doing a classic game at this point. So yeah, you can probably tell I'm just really anxious to get back into a game. Somebody? Anybody? And on that note, when the hell is Risk and Scrabble coming back, nutty? |
![]() I've considered giving at least Scrabble another shot. The general lack of activity around here makes me skeptical that we could get enough players, but I'd like to try. When I started Risk and Scrabble last year, I had almost nothing to do at work, but I've gained additional responsibilities now. There's still a lot of time spent staring at GFF and chat, but there are also days when I have stuff I really should be working on. That said, January is a slow month. I'm not sure I have enough time to put into Risk, but if the interest is there, I could see. Perhaps we should make some sort of rule to counter inactivity in Werewolf. How about if you're killed due to inactivity, you're banned from the next game? |

Hey, I know for sure I participated in at least a couple of games of Risk (I know for sure I did the US one and the GFF one), though I did only do one game of Scrabble.
And I totally agree with your idea about inactivty. I mean, if you're gonna be too busy to play, then just don't sign up, plain and simple. I'd rather have a low initial player count instead of the game being ruined later on by inactivity. |
