Werewolf XX: Back to Basics

In a mysterious village that no one but its inhabitants know, a dormant evil is ready to awaken. At the same time, a group of people with evil intentions are about to make their prescence known, giving up their facade of peaceful villagers to reveal the true crooks they really are. Can this small village thwart the evil threat posed by these two forces, or will they let paranoia and fear devour them, leading to their destruction? Find out in...

Only evil players can act on night one? Don't the shaman and seers get a go on night one usually with just the vigilante having to wait for night two?

I looked at some of the earlier games, and while the Seers did get to act on the first night a few times, the Shamans never did. I had always been under the impression that only Evil went on the first night (it even says so on the wiki page), especially since it makes more logical sense (how will Good know to act unless something triggers that?).

Night 1: An Evil Threat Emerges!

In an abondoned house at the edge of town, a group of townspeople meet.

"So uh, if we's gonna take over this joint, we gotta start now."

"Yeah, but we gotta stay low for now, or else these morons might start to catch on."

"Alright, we's just gonna whack one of these fools a night then. That oughtta be enough to keep 'em off our tails."

"Agreed. So who's first?"

"I heard talk about a group of townspeople bein' real tight, like as tight as us. I don't know who all of 'em are, but I seen that Helloween fellow gettin' home pretty late one night."

"Alright, let's go pay this fella a visit."

The group exited the abandoned house, and went straight to Helloween's humble abode. One of them forced the front door open, and they all went straight to Helloween's bedroom. There they saw Helloween sitting up in bed, as he had been awakened by the sound of the door being forced open.

"Who are you people? What do you want with me?" Heloween managed to ask with his shaky voice.

"Aww, come on now Helloweenie, you don't recognize us?"

Helloween rubbed his eyes and stared at the group again.

"But, why are you guys here? And how did you get in? And what's with the accents?" Helloween asked, with some semblance of relief coming to his voice.

"Oh, don't you worry your pretty little head about any of them things."

One of the group members approached Helloween and grabbed a pillow from behind him. Two others went to either side of the bed and started to hold Helloween down.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Helloween yelled as the first guy raised the pillow to Helloween's face.

He put the pillow over Helloween's face and started to smother him. Helloween tried to fight it, but he couldn't break free of the others' hold. His body flailed wildly, and slowly started moving less and less with each passing second. After a minute or so, it stopped moving completely.

"Heh, this ain't gonna be so tough after all."

Meanwhile, deep in the woods, another group of townspeople meet.

"Ah, hello my fellow wolf brethern. Tonight is the night where we finally strike."

"Eh, do we really have to?"

"Well, why not?"

"I just don't feel like."

"Fine, whatever. We'll do this again tomorrow night."

The next morning, Helloween's body was discovered, and a town meeting was quickly called. The town's mayor explained the situation to everyone, and then told them that the killer must be found and face their punishment. To do this, they would hold a discussion, right then and there to prevent anyone from leaving. During this discussion, they would all say who they believe is responsible for the murder, and then get execute the person who gets the most votes. The mayor admitted this system wasn't foolproof, but said it was all they can do for now...

And day one's usual incoherent voting begins.

I'm voting for Garr because it's day one and I have no fucking clue who I should actually be voting for.

I'm really enjoying Garr's Charles Barkley av/sig set, and that's a good enough reason to change my vote to Guru, who's name is kind of like Garr's.

I got no idea who to send to his/her doom, so Yeldarb is as good as anyone.

I see Capo smoking funny little cigarettes every now and again, and that's as good a reason to vote as any.
