GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

So very close, but no cigar.
![]() Well, what can I say? I should have stuck with my gut feeling and kept my original item instead of trading it for the item I scored when I got the kill on Plarom. I guess my line of thought was "We're pretty close to the end here and it's just a matter of time before my luck runs out. If I take the item Rollins has using my newly acquired item off the still-warm corpse of Plarom, I'll at least make sure I don't go alone when it happens." Turns out that very thought pretty much doomed me to some decapitation by explosion. While I can't possibly argue with your logic, Rollins, I really hope that it ends up paying off for you. I don't know what nazpyro is reppin', but he seems very confident in his choice of rock. Griffin, you make a very delicious cake, but that vocal cord constricting shit has got to go. And that's that, I guess. I look forward to seeing who comes out of this match as the winner. "Now is the feasting of swords." See you guys next time. ![]() ![]() "I can't look - it's degrading for a crook to see his boss wearing eye-liner!"

![]() But if there is a winner, he'll be reppin' both Team MD and Team ShoeMart, and that's all that matters. |

Congratulations, Rollins! You were definitely pretty savvy in trying to evade the rules, and that kind of thinking definitely helped you in the long run. No question this was my favorite Werewolf game out of the ones I've modded so far. Admittedly it was a bitch to keep up with everything behind the scenes, but it was well worth it thanks to the actions of all of you guys, the players. You definitely provided me with enough entertainment to make me not miss playing the game this time around. Now as far as the game goes, I'll be the first to admit it had, and still has, a lot of things wrong with it. I tried to fix as many things as I could as it went along, but I'm sure there are still some things I could change. I liked this format of the game, and with a few tweaks I think it could be great if it was to be played again someday. So what's your opinion? Tell me everything you liked, hated, or would like to see different in any future iteration of the game. Other than that, just feel free to discuss any other aspects of the game you want to talk about. Below is a list of items and actions for the game, so you can finally see who the crummy bastard was that took you out. Feel free to declare your grudges now before IC's Werewolf XXIII begins. Also, :rockgrudge: on nazpyro because I'm gonna kill myself if I see GOOD OL ROCK one more time. Item List:

I gotta say that it was fun. I suppose, looking back, the smarter thing to do would've been to just avoid attacking the night I used my vial, and let the vote be my weapon. It sure as hell would've worked a lot better.
I'm also pissed that I lost both my allies in one night. ![]() ![]() |

Well, honestly, I had no expectation of coming out on top here. I only played one game of Werewolf before this (and was killed in the first night) and I haven't kept up with all the fancy rules/grudges/strategies/etc. of the previous games. However, this was so accessible for me that's why I signed up.
And really, I think it was tremendous luck on my part, but that would be true for any winner I guess. One hilarious point though, Zergrinch told me to play scissors in defense to Crash Landon's counterattack on Night 2. Although, by this point, I was suspicious towards Zergrinch, only because he was dictating a lot of moves in my group, which I felt could be leading us to our deaths. So, I did the opposite of what he said and it turns out it saved me from an early death. |
I thought the game was great. I wasn't all that crazy about the "rock, paper, scissors" element, simply because I'd feel better picking a number, but I did better than I thought I would. :Griffgrudge: better be settled now. |
Seriously though, wasn't it Zerg or somebody that was able to deduce that the number system was kinda broke or something? Like you could almost always win by choosing 52 or something? I don't remember the specifics, but it was because of that and the fact that the rock/paper/scissors system made it easier to come up with the different battle scenarios that I decided to go with it instead. |

He determined that you have a slightly better chance statistically if you pick 51, however, note that he didn't actually win by using that. 1) Everyone can't pick 51 and 2) it comes down to alliances and who you piss off.
Speaking of Risk, I was sort of toying with the idea of running a game the week of 6/23. Most of the bigwigs in my office will be on vacation that week, so it should be slow at work. |
As for the end, I didn't care too much FTW, as I really cared more for the "team pride." It would've been nice to win, but I had pleasure in putting it on Rollins to trust me or not in the end, plus no way could I not use the epic, the godlike, the legendary... GOOD OL ROCK. In fact, I'm not even sure how it lost. Ever. ![]() |
I was betting on the fact that Crash would send in the same defense against all attacks. That was why I advocated that we attack him differently. Crash was too smart for that, unfortunately!I never had any alliance with Crash Landon. I joined only one alliance - with you, nazpyro, and Chaotic. I had nonaggression pacts with Diss, Plarom, juanzen, and The_Griffin. I'm pleased to see all my pacts were fully respected ![]() ============= Also, Griffin, I'm seriously considering a :nuttygrudge: next game. Let's hope ol' Identity Crisis doesn't put him in the same team with me and you ![]() ============= As far as Risk strategy is concerned, nuttyturnip is correct: 52 does not give you superior chances of winning. Merely above-average chances IF your opponent AND the number is random. In fact, if your opponent chooses randomly between a tight 40-60 band, your overall chances don't go above 50-50.
