Werewolf 24 - Where I Plagiarize Everyone

Let's get this thing on the road then!

Since we have a limited pool of players, I have restricted the number of roles. We have 4 evil players and 9 good players, for a total of 13. Roles and functions as follows (tl;dr version):

Good Guys
  • [1/1] Vigilante - One kill per night
  • [1/1] Preacher - 2 extra votes, 1 extra life
  • [1/1] Hunter - may kill his attacker, can silence one player's vote
  • [1/1] Shaman - protects 1 player per night, can protect himself only once
  • [3/3] Seer/Fool - checks 1 player's role per night, fools always receive the wrong role, but not necessarily the wrong side
  • [2/2] Villager - checks 1 player's codeword per night
Evil Scum
  • [1/1] Spy - basically an evil seer, allied with the Mafia
  • [3/3] Mafia - evil team dedicated to destroying everyone else. One collective kill per night
Technicalities:
  1. Preachers can disperse their votes by PMing me separately. No PM = extra votes applied to your vote
  2. Preachers can be silenced, but not their extra votes
  3. Hunters may choose whether to kill their attacker or not. No PM by the end of the night = autokill
  4. Shaman's power is subordinate to hunter's. Any protected person who kills a hunter may die. Anyone who strikes a protected hunter, may die.
  5. When fools die, they won't be revealed. For sake of simplicity, "seer" will refer to both true seers and fools
  6. Codewords will not be revealed upon death
  7. There is no Jack Bauer, sorry
The only gimmick I'm having in this game is partial transparency. I will list down the codewords of everyone who has acted during the night, and list down the roles or codewords that were checked.

Players
  1. Chaotic
  2. Garr
  3. Identity Crisis
  4. Juanzen
  5. Kagosin
  6. Kilroy
  7. LZ
  8. nazpyro
  9. nuttyturnip
  10. Plarom
  11. RockgamerXIII
  12. Tritoch - walks around naked at night in his kitchen
  13. Yeldarb
With that out of the way, I hereby declare Werewolf 24 open.

You are all in a town in the middle of nowhere, so isolated that its residents have forgotten its name. Over time, most of the people have left for opportunities elsewhere, leaving the few remaining residents as prime targets for the criminal forces that have descended upon the tiny hamlet. The town borders a lucrative smuggling route, and recently people have gone missing, later found shot dead gangland style. Several townsfolk, perhaps endowed with a second sight, claim that the village is under siege by hoodlums, and everyone will soon perish. Night falls, and the killing begins…

it is now Night 0.

Evil, awaken and do your duty. Spy, include your members when you send me a PM, and I will forward to them your check.

Seers, you also have 1 check. Hunter, you may hunt someone down for Day 1. The rest of good, you're reactionary and have no actions tonight.

The night ends 3 days from this post, or after everyone has acted and all players have found this thread. Whichever comes first.

We haven't forgotten, there's just not much to say at this point. Except that Plarom is always evil, of course.

Really though, who doesn't walk around naked in the kitchen? As long as you're not in my kitchen, no harm done.

You're a weirdo, nobody walks around naked in their kitchen. That's where the food is and I will beat the shit out of anyone I find naked in my kitchen because I don't want PUBIC HAIRS all over my food.

Subscription coming like what.

Alrighty, all nightly actions are in. Hunter, you also have one person to 'hunt down' and block the vote of, though this action will be reflected during the daytime.

The following players acted:

The following players were acted upon:

Chaotic
Identity Crisis
LZ
nazpyro

Night 0 ends when the Hunter sends in his target; when Chaotic, Identity Crisis, Juanzen, LZ, nazpyro, RockgamerXIII, and Yeldarb found this thread (presumably posting); or in 14 hours' time. Whichever comes first.

Modification to previous articulation: Instead of "fools always receive the wrong side (good=evil, evil=good)", fools will always receive the same wrong role, which will not necessarily be the wrong side. Had to do this - it'd be too easy to figure out if you're a fool or not given there's only 1 evil side

So much for vacations.

------------------------------------------------------

09:04:08 PM

It happened in the unlikeliest of places. A nondescript town, in a location, in the middle of nowhere. The perfect place for a little R&R - a man's gotta unwind. After all, saving the world is serious business.

I went to the local tavern for a drink or two, but it was deserted. Not that I'm surprised. The local parish is influential in the boondocks like this one; wonder why they haven't run the proprietor out of town. Or for that matter, how he's going to make a living.

Not my problem though.

09:15:16 PM

I paid the man and left, the flavor of stale Buddweiser-Inbev sticking to the back of my throat. It's a pleasant stroll back to the inn, but I set out on a brisk jog. Wouldn't want to lose my edge, after all.

09:23:42 PM

Portly chap running ahead of me, a bit out of breath. I guess he's trying to keep himself fit too. He's already panting, poor man.

Above the sound of his pants, I thought I heard someone cock a shotgun. There it was! A glint coming from the woods further ahead of us.

But the angle was all wrong. Unless...

No time to lose, I put on the burst of speed, and caught up to him - I recognize him as nazpyro, one of the first to welcome me here. I tackled him just as the shot rang out.

The shots missed, barely. I draw my USP and started shooting back at the sniper. But it was too dark, and I couldn't leave nazpyro like this. I had to let the bastard get away.

nazpyro was shaken, but unharmed. I wanted to ask him about his attacker, but I guess it doesn't matter. I don't want to get in the way of these small-town feuds. First thing tomorrow, I'm out of this godforsaken town.

------------------------------------------------------

tl;dr

The Mafia tried to kill nazpyro, but Jack Bauer foiled the murder.

Apologies to the Mafia - I couldn't reveal that I intend to have a Night 0 "no kill" rule in effect. Otherwise, they wouldn't have sent a kill. Rest assured no one other than the Shaman will be messing up your kills tonight.

It is now Day 1, and you have some information to munch upon. Vote for the person who you think is an evil git. Preacher, I await your secret shenanigans. The Day ends in 48 hours.
