Web Host Blocking Port... PHP Solution?

I was wondering if PHP offered some secret solution to my problem:

I run a Ventrilo server. I have a script that can check the status of the server and give me a nice list of active users. The problem: I need port 3790 to do it, and Godaddy (my host) has that port closed. fopensocket() isn't an option.

Are there any other alternatives/loopholes I may be able to use besides nagging customer service until they open it?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It's an ugly solution, but you could use the shell_exec command to run a program that tunnels a connection through SSH.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
