Exclamation Spams

Sometimes I opened my bulk folder, and to my surprise, I got about 40 spam per day. Thankfully yahoo's filter does a good job, no spam has reached my inbox actually. But still, I'm wondering how these spammers know email address and what is their goal by spamming?

I can't seem to stop the spam in my inbox.
I use SPAMfighter for Outlook but although it keeps a lot of spam outside, it doesn't stop all of it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hahahaha, eriol complaining about spam. The irony is almost too much to take.

Most websites that require an email address for registration will sell on lists of email addresses to anyone who wants it. In fact there's several companies now whose entire business is selling lists of email addresses.

My hotmail address got spammed to death years ago. It gets anywhere from 100-200 spam a day. I had to stop using it because the spam filter list is full and spam still comes through. I let the account close itself a few times, but the spam is still very much there.

I've cut down on spam numbers from several pages each day, to about 1 to 3 every couple of days. Thank you hotmail custom filters, although spam knows no bounds. Instead of porn and such, now it's "weight loss" (I'm skinny enough thank you) and "instant results" which I'm betting is porn in disguise.

I only use Gmail now, and I don't get much spam in my main inbox since everything is filtered. I still get spam in my old hotmail email account though.

I've had chinese spam for the past 6 months or so. Its fun to receive spam that you can't even understand...

I get around 100 spam message per day, it's getting crazy. That includes paying unviersity debt, viagra, porn and other useless things like pills.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Thunderbird's adaptive filter works.

I always get spam in Russian (or whatever language(s) use the same or similar character set.) I don't know why or how it is so consistent, but I do. My ISP blocks most other spam, so maybe it doesn't know how to filter spam in languages besides English.

It is rather ridiculous, though. I don't even know what the emails are advertising.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Now you mention it, I got almost 100+ in my bulk mail folder everyday, they total to 5000. Those damn spammers, what are they after actually?:eyebrow:

Of the twenty two spam messages that I've received since April 21 via my six active email accounts, none have made it into my inbox due to a local bayesian filter that I run.

Spam in my Gmail almost never reaches my inbox. The filter is pretty great. Hotmail does a pretty good job these days too.

I get tons of spam, but I've never actually opened any of it. I just recently made a separate e-mail account for signing up on sites, so my spam is being dumped into that address rather than my primary address.

For some strange reason, most of the spam in my mailbox are specifically centered around growth enhancements and software.

I just chalk it up to spam knowing no gender! Personaly I think it's funny because some of the fake names they use are like "Willie Peter" or something along those lines.

I don't know where they keep coming from...but lately I've been getting a lot more spam then I ususaly get...Mostly like you said, for 's0ftware' or 'Veeagra' and stuff like that. Sometimes I get email that's nothing but gibberish (That I just asume that are in another language and the email isn't picking up the letters)....Really hate spam....

The only spam that gets through my filter seems to be from Nigerian princes who needs to wire transfer me billions of secret diamond cash, if only he knew my bank account number. The trickiest spam I've seen was this flashy html bit someone sent out, supposedly from the bank. They did quite a nice formatting job, but I didn't happen to have an account at that bank. The newspaper reported it a few days later.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

sometimes you could get spam from people if someone forwarded you a chain letter. Your e-mail address as well as many other peoples can then easily end up in some spam makers hands. I hate chain letters!

My personal email(s) rarely get any spam in them whatsoever, but let me TELL you about the ones here at the office.

I get about 60 emails every morning consisting of nothing but spam. There are maybe only about 10 valid emails in there daily. And it WASTES MY TIME to load. Ugh.

I just delete delete delete, but what a fucking nuisance.

I have to agree on the GMail spam filter being very good. Nowadays I use thunderbird with my own private e-mail adress. I get none.
